Interactions between ontogenesis (learning), culture and phylogenesis (evolution),

Evolution, adaptation and robustness of locomotion gaits of snake-like artifacts,

Learning probabilistic context-sensitive grammars for strongly-typed genetic programming.
Hobbies (beyond my work:-)

Hiking, photography, chess, RC cars and planes. Interested also in racing cars (design and aerodynamics) and fighters (design, aerodynamics, and avionics).
